Getting to Muriwai Arts Trail
Muriwai Beach is about a 35 minute drive North West of Auckland CBD. Just follow the Western Motorway (Highway 16) towards Helensville and turn left at the end of the motorway.
Continue past the Westgate Shopping Centre (on your left), take a right at the roundabout, and continue past Kumeu and Huapai until you come to Waimauku.
Turn left at Muriwai Road in Waimauku, which is clearly signposted on your left.
Continue for approximately 9 kilometres until you arrive at Muriwai. Keep right at the fork in the road signposted towards the beach.
The entrance to Houghtons Bush Camp is approximatey 200 metres on your right and is clearly signposted.
