In taking photographs and creating artworks Kirsten endeavours to capture the essence of our landscape, nature and daily life. The spectacular colour palette, the ebb and flow, the things that sometimes go unnoticed or are taken for granted.

As well as taking abstract and impressionist style photographs Kirsten creates photomontage, mixed media and acrylic on canvas works often with woven or textured elements to add interest and a new dimension. Kirsten is forever experimenting and her work evolving to create unique artworks which she hopes will resonate with the viewer and reflect her own creative view.

Kirsten is a member of the Muriwai Open Studios collective, Kumeu Arts, Waitakere Arts and the Kumeu Photography Group. She regularly exhibits her work in exhibitions and events throughout Auckland and annually at Matakana.
