I Love the variation of changing mediums, with every new sculpture, each new project, discovering new techniques of working.
My current jigsaw technique involves finding a found object and then deconstructing it in preparation for sand casting in bronze or aluminium and then welding it back together. The finished casted objects are then dressed into a staged environment, or used to create a 3D still-life as pictured in the tree forms.
The hardest challenge is coming up with a concept.
I get obsessed with forms in nature possibly because of where I live surrounded by the dramatic, forever changing landscape of Muriwai .
